What is Day of Service/Do Justice?
The Day of Service/Do Justice connects local faith-based groups and community members to East Bay social service providers, tackling their needs to support the work they do in education, homelessness, youth development, and more.
Volunteers choose a local community site and contribute “sweat equity” - working with their hands, heart, and sweat - to meet the site’s needs for three hours on a Saturday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The Day of Service is offered quarterly.
Our vision is for a more economically and socially sustainable East Bay by mobilizing people from very different backgrounds to work alongside one another, take ownership of our communities, and learn about great work happening right in our own neighborhood.
